You have to act methodically, but also there's a time limit so you can't take all day. There are also items you can pick up that can help you kill enemies at a distance, such as a bottle or a knife, a smoke grenade to confuse enemies, a detonator which you can attach to an enemy and choose when to blow them up, etc. The rooms in which you fight enemies are very small, and when you die you respawn at the start of the room you died in, so it becomes addicting to try and get past one small room over and over again. But there are some enemies with shotguns whose bullets you can't completely avoid with these methods, and you can't spam your attack with your katana endlessly so if multiple bullets are coming at you, you can't avoid them all. For one, you have the ability to slow down time for a short period, you can dash to avoid bullets, and you can reflect bullets with your sword if you time it right. There's a lot of things to help you though. However, you die in one hit, and a lot of the enemies have ranged attacks, making it difficult. It's a platformer where you have to kill every enemy in a room to proceed, usually with, well, your katana. It's been compared to Hotline Miami a lot, but I've never played Hotline Miami, I'll be sure to give it a try soon but these are my thoughts as someone who doesn't have that to compare it to: (also this post is really long so I'll put a TLDR) ![]() For those of you who haven't heard of it, Katana Zero is an indie game released in 2019 that was developed by Askiisoft and published by Devolver Digital.
